Solomon Jones

Solomon Jones is an American former professional basketball player who played as a power forward and center. He was selected in the second round of the 2006 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks and played eight seasons in the National Basketball Association before continuing his career internationally.

Jones attended Mount Dora High School in Mount Dora, Florida, United States. He played college basketball at Daytona State College from 2002 to 2004 and at the University of South Florida from 2004 to 2006.

Professional Career

Jones was selected by the Atlanta Hawks with the 33rd overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft. He played three seasons for the Hawks, followed by two seasons with the Indiana Pacers.

Jones also played in the NBA for the Los Angeles Clippers, New Orleans Hornets, New York Knicks, and Orlando Magic, appearing in a total of 281 NBA games.

After his NBA tenure, Jones played internationally in China, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico, and in the NBA G-League with the Erie BayHawks and Oklahoma City Blue. He last played professionally for the Tijuana Zonkeys in 2022.
