Tegba Othello Hunter is a professional basketball player from the USA and plays as a power forward. Hunter began his playing career at the Richard J. Reynolds High School and then went on to play at the Hillsborough Community College in Florida. After two years at Hillsborough, Hunter decided to shift to the Ohio State University and recorded the 7th best field goal percentage in the history of the school, for a single season. He was registered into the 2008 NBA Draft but went by undrafted.
Hunter decided to join the Atlanta Hawks’ summer league in 2008 and in 5 appearances, he had 13.2 points per game with 2.0 assists and 1.2 steals per game. He also had a team-leading 6.2 rebounds per game. In August, the Hawks announced that they had signed on Hunter for a regular contract.
