Elmer Bennett is at present playing with CB Sevilla of Spain’s basketball league the ACB. He is a professional player from the United States who plays in the position of Guard. He has a height of 6 feet and weighs 170 lbs. In 1995 when he was along with Cleveland Cavaliers he used to wear jersey no. 12. In 1996 he was drafted to the Philadelphia 76ers where he wore jersey no. 5. Further in 1997 he was a member of Houston Rockets and was given jersey no.6. In the same year when he was along with Denver Nuggets he was offered jersey no. 14.
The Bellaire High School in Bellaire, Texas was attended by Bennett. In 1987-88 he was honored as Mr. Basketball in Texas. After passing out he took admission in the University of Notre Dame. Here he played from 1988 to 1992 and piled up 1488 points, 516 assists, 152 steals and 91 3-pointers. During the 1992 NBA draft he was selected in the second round by Atlanta Hawks and was the 11th pick and 38th overall pick.
After his NBA career he went to Spain and became a member of Saski Baskonia in 1997-98. For the next decade he remained in Spain and was acknowledged as one of the best point guards in the league. He also played for Joventut Badalona and Real Madrid Baloncesto.
