Corey Beck was born on May 27, 1971, in Memphis, Tennessee, United States of America.

He stood 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighed 190 pounds during his playing days. In September 2007, Beck was shot in the hand and face during an attempted robbery in Memphis but later recovered.

High School and College Career

Beck attended Fairley High School in Memphis, Tennessee. He played college basketball at South Plains College from 1990 to 1991 and at the University of Arkansas from 1992 to 1995.

He was a key player for the Arkansas Razorbacks, helping them win the NCAA championship in 1994.

Professional Career

Beck went undrafted in the 1995 NBA Draft and began his professional career with the Sioux Falls Skyforce in the Continental Basketball Association.

He played in the NBA for the Charlotte Hornets from 1995 to 1996, again in 1997 to 1998, and briefly in 1999, as well as for the Detroit Pistons in 1999.

Beck also played for Žalgiris Kaunas in Lithuania, Memphis Houn'Dawgs, Toros de Aragua in Venezuela, and Roseto Basket in Italy.

He was a CBA champion with Sioux Falls in 1996, named CBA Defensive Player of the Year in 1997, and was selected to the CBA All-Defensive Team in 1997.
