Tony Battie is a Power Forward playing professional basketball with the Orlando Magic of the National Basketball Association. He is 6 feet 11 inches tall weighing in at 240 lbs. He wears the number 4 jersey with the Magic.
Tony Battie did his schooling from the South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas, Texas. He later attended the Texas Tech University where he played for the college basketball team called the Texas Tech Red Raiders. In 1997, Battie was drafted by the Denver Nuggets in the NBA. After playing just a season for the Nuggets, he was acquired by the Boston Celtics where he played over five seasons. In the mid of the 2003-04 season, Battie was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavaliers however traded Battie at the end of the season to the Orlando Magic. Battie played with the Magic for 3 seasons till the end of the 2006-07 season. That was his final season in the NBA.
In a total of 680 games that Battie played in the NBA, he averages at 6.7 points per game, 0.7 assists per game and 5.6 rebounds per game. His career best of 8.4 points per game came about in the 1997-98 season where he played 65 games and started in 49 with the Denver Nuggets.
