Dwayne Jones
Dwayne Jones is a basketball player who plays as a center for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Jones did his schooling from the Beachwood High School and attended the Saint Joseph?s University College, where he represented the college basketball team called the Saint Joseph?s Hawks.
In 2004 at the Atlantic 10 Conference which is a college level competition, Jones was awarded the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year. He topped the Atlantic 10 charts and was No. 5 in the nation for rebounds and blocks with 11.6 rebounds per game and 3.0 blocks per game. In 2005 Jones became the only Hawk since 1986 to score a triple- double against the St. Bonaventure University?s basketball team called the Bonnies.
After failing to get drafted in 2005, Jones was signed as a free agent by the Minnesota Timberwolves and was assigned to the Florida Flame which is a team playing in the NBA Development League. The NBA Development League or the D-League is a minor league of the NBA.
In 2006, Jones was exchanged to the Boston Celtics and later to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavaliers assigned him to the D-League?s, Albuquerque Thunderbirds.
In his career total of 73 games, Jones averages at 1.3 points per game, 0.2 assists per game and 0.4 blocks per game.
