Robert Horry is a former professional basketball player from the National Basketball Association. He is a seven-time NBA Champion and has played with the Houston Rockets, Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers, and the San Antonio Spurs.

Robert Keith Horry was born on August 25, 1970, in Harford County, Maryland in the United States of America. He stands 208 cm tall and his weight was last listed at 109 kg. He is a power forward and shooting guard.

His son Camron Horry plays football for Texas A&M and his other son Christian Horry is also a basketball player.

High School and College Career

Horry attended Andalusia High School in Alabama. In 1988, he was named to the Fourth-team Parade All-American.

He went on to play collegiate basketball for the University of Alabama and was with them from 1988 to 1992. While there, he was named to the 1990 Third-team All-SEC and the 1992 SEC All-Defensive Team, and the Second-Team All-SEC.

Professional Career

He joined the NBA in 1992 and was selected by the Houston Rockets in the first round as the 11th overall pick. He played with Houston from 1992 to 1996. In 1994 and 1995, he became an NBA Champion with the Rockets.

From 1996 to 1997, he played for the Phoenix Suns, and in 1997, he signed with the Los Angeles Lakers. While with the Lakers, he won three NBA championships from 2000 to 2002. From 2003 to 2008, he played with the San Antonio Spurs and won the 2005 and 2007 NBA Championships.

After his professional career, he started coaching, including for the AAU Big Shot Basketball Team in LA.
