Early Life and High School Career

Raised in a family of five children, with three sisters and a brother, Kristen's competitive spirit blossomed early. She attended Okemos High School where she honed her basketball skills under the guidance of coach Ron Mott, showcasing her talent and determination on the court.

A series of trades led her to the Houston Comets and then to the Charlotte Sting, before ultimately signing with the Phoenix Mercury in 2006.
