Monique Paulette Currie is a WNBA player who plays professionally for the Washington Mystics team. She was born on February 25, 1983 in Washington, D.C. She is the daughter of Michael and Gwendolyn Currie, and has one sister, Mikia.

As a high school senior, Monique was named a finalist for the Naismith Prep Player of the Year Award. She scored 2,151 career points in her prep career, and was a three-time Maryland Miss Basketball selection. Monique attended Duke, majoring in the humanities, and played for the Blue Devils under coach Gail Goestenkors.

Monique was the third overall pick in the 2006 WNBA Draft, chosen by the Charlotte Sting. After the Sting folded, its players were sent in a dispersal draft to other teams. She was chosen by the Chicago Sky. The Sky traded her to the Washington Mystics during the 2007 season in exchange for Chasity Melvin.
