Miami Heat superstar LeBron James says he’s not interested in statistics after scoring 27 points in his side’s 110-87 victory over Milwaukee Bucks in Game One of their Eastern Conference first round NBA Playoff.
The Bucks managed to minimise James’ shots for the game, while they also restricted Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade’s output but it mattered little.
James finished the game with 27 points, with 9-for-11 shooting and eight assists and 10 rebounds.
“All I care about is the win,” James said. “I didn’t even know my stats.
“I just knew that we were playing efficient offensively besides the turnovers. We want to try to keep that going.”
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra continued the theme, revealing his delight at his side’s efficiency.
“That’s about as efficient as you can get. Made that look easier than it was,” Spoelstra said.
