Miami Heat have won their 23rd consecutive NBA match triumphing on the road to the Boston Celtics 105-103.

The reigning NBA champions’ run is the second best in league history, only bettered by the LA Lakers’ 33-game winning streak in the early seventies.

The Heat were tested by the Celtics, but LeBron James scored the decisive bucket with 10.5 seconds to play, taking his match tally to 37 points with 12 assists and seven rebounds.

Mario Chalmers contributed 21 points, while Dwyane Wade added 16 and Chris Bosh 13.

“It means we got better once again,James said. “It was a hostile environment. For us to come in here and get a win today was awesome.

“We knew no matter who is in uniform for those guys (Boston), they have a championship DNA, and we were going to have to work for it.”

James added: “We were down a lot of times tonight, more than we would like to be.

“But we kept our chemistry going and got one more play.’’
