The Minnesota Lynx are off to their best start ever.
They began with a 5-0 record - their best ever start.
On Friday, June 6, 2008, they lost for the first time - a heart-breaking one point loss to the Connecticut Sun.
The Sun’s Asjha Jones made a jump-hook shot with 19.7 seconds remaining to complete a come-from-behind rally in the final 1:39.
However, the Lynx rebounded - literally as well as figuratively, on Sunday, June 8, with a convincing win over the San Antonio Silver Stars, 90-78.
In this win, Ann Wauters was high scorer for the Silver Stars with 24 points. For the Lynx, Seimone Augustus was high-scorer with 18 points. Nicky Anosike was her usual defensive presence, and pulled down 8 rebounds. She also had 3 steals.
