With the possibility all star forward Chris Bosh would leave Toronto via free agency, the Raptors front office tried to make a better team to entice Bosh to stay beyond 2010.
With the signing of forward Hedo Turkoglu, the Raptors instantly added a fine all around player.
Turkoglu had an amazing 2009 season, leading the Magic to the NBA Finals, but eventually lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in five games.
But Turkoglu has had a bad season for Toronto this year. He did not seem to be in basketball shape following the summer of 2009 Eurobasket tournament.
Hedo has not been the only disappointing Raptors player this season, Jose Calderon has not played well either.
Known for his good foul shooting, Calderon has yet to take his game to the next level and become an elite NBA point guard.
Injuries have not helped Toronto’s cause either, and even Bosh has missed games due to injury.
Bosh has seen commitment from the Raptors front office, but Toronto is years away from competing.
I think he will leave, not only for the money, but to play for a team with a legitimate chance of winning an NBA championship.
