Last year’s 1st round Eastern playoff series between the Boston Celtics and the Chicago Bulls was the best opening round series ever.
There were several overtime games, even games going into double and triple overtime.
The Bulls must bring the passion they showed last year against the Celtics tonight, as they barely hold onto the final east playoff spot.
The Celtics do not have a lot to play for, already assuring themselves of at least the 4th seed.
Several players might even get the night off, like forward Kevin Garnett got last week for a game in Milwaukee.
The Bulls have a different team than they did last year. Ben Gordon and John Salmons were both big scorers that have departed since last May.
However the heightened play of center Joahkim Noah and 2009 rookie of the year Derrick Rose has Bulls fans feeling confident.
There is no doubt the Bulls will try to land a big name free agent in the summer, but they have a lot to play for now.
Playoff experience is invaluable to a young team. The Celtics will be a great test of their determination.
