According to LeBron James, the scoring title is his whenever he wants it. Despite this arrogance and the level of quality in James’ play, he is not the best scorer in the NBA.
Kevin Durant is the best scorer in the NBA. He is a complete scorer, and there have been few of his kind in the history of the league.
At 6’ 10” tall, Durant can post up forwards and fight in the paint. His lanky body with his long legs allows him to take giant strides to the basket and his smooth finishing makes him hard to stop.
His shooting is what separates him from taller forwards of years past. Kevin’s range is amazing, he can shoot well from three point territory and can shoot well off the dribble.
A part of his offense unnoticed is his free throw shooting. He garners so much respect due to the fact he is such a good long distance shooter. This allows him to drive to the basket and get fouled.
Durant is a leader in free throw attempts and percentage. He shoots in the high 80% range from the line.
Durant is a matchup problem in so many ways, not just because of his body type. His ability to score in anyway from anywhere makes him the best scorer in the NBA. It will not take long before he becomes the BEST player in the NBA.
The sky is the limit for Kevin Durant.
