At the beginning of the 2010 season the Wizards had a great team on paper. With their three all stars returning, Gilbert Arenas, Caron Butler, and Antwan Jamison, the Wizards were ready t be championship contenders.
Randy Foye and Mike Miller joined Washington thinking they would be playing deep into the post season. But now after some unfortunate events in DC this year, Miller and Foye will be watching the playoffs on their living room couch.
With the Gilbert Arenas gun incident, the season went down quickly. Butler and Jamison requested trades, and their wishes were granted.
In the case of Foye and Miller, the Wizards were supposed to be the team they stay with for a long time. Washington gave up the 5th pick in the 2009 NBA Draft to acquire Foye and Miller.
Miller and Foye will likely want to leave after this season, and I hope they get their wish. After thinking they could be playing in June, they will be playing pickup ball in June with their kids.
