Kevin Durant Impresses Magic Johnson

Magic Johnson knows a good player when he sees one. When he watches Kevin Durant play, he sees one of the best players in the game. Recently, Magic and Kevin did an interview for the NBA on ABC.

Durant responded to several questions from Magic including Kevin’s thoughts on playing in Oklahoma City. Durant answered by explaining he likes the quietness of Oklahoma City, and that he wants to put OKC on the map.

Kevin is also flattered by chants of “MVP” yelled by fans at his home games. He is surprised to hear them so soon in his career, but it drives him to be better every game.

When asked about his 29 games with at least 25 points streak Kevin noted it is amazing to be mentioned in the same breath as great scorers such as Michael Jordan and Allen Iverson.

Durant is the best player in the NBA. He is the complete player. I am glad ABC and the NBA are realizing his talents. Even though he does not play in a major basketball city like Boston, Los Angeles, or New York, he still is an amazing talent worth marketing. The rafters in Oklahoma City will have multiple championship banners at the end of this decade, made possible, by Kevin Durant.
