Spain national baseball team
Spain national baseball team is governed by the Royal Spanish Baseball and Softball Federation and is a member nation of the Confederation of European Baseball. Currently Spain is ranked 16th in the IBAF world rankings.
European Championship
In the 2007 European Championship, Spain finished 3rd after beating Sweden. At the senior level, Spain has won a gold, one silver and twelve bronze medals in all, while at the junior level they have won 4 silver and 11 bronze.
Olympics
Spain failed to qualify for the 1996, 2000 and 2004 Olympics but finished eighth in 1992.
Baseball World Cup
Spain came in 14th place twice in 1998 and 2005 while finished 12th in 1988. The team is also set to compete in the 2009 Baseball World Cup and is placed in Group A along with Cuba, Puerto Rico and South Africa.
