Wilkin Castillo is a professional baseball player from the Dominican Republic and specializes as a utility player for the Cincinnati Reds. Castillo had signed up for the 2002 MLB Draft but was not picked by any team. He was later picked up as a free agent by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the same year. He played in the minor leagues with affiliates of the Diamondbacks and climbed up the ladder to the AA-League where Castillo played for the Mobile BayBears.

In 2007, with the BayBears, Castillo had a .302 batting average over 109 appearances and that prompted the Diamondbacks to buy his contract in November of that year. He was named as the 14th best prospect, in 2008, in the Arizona organization and played every position except as a pitcher.

In August of 2008, Castillo was traded out to the Cincinnati Reds in a deal that saw Adam Dunn go the other way. In the same month, he made his debut for the Reds.
