Bobby Scales
Bobby Leon Scales is a professional baseball player who plays as a second baseman. The American is a regular fixture in the minor leagues and has been a switch hitter. A student at the University of Michigan, Scales represented the University in collegiate ball and in 1999, was part of the MLB draft were he was picked at 442nd overall by the San Diego Padres.
Scales played in the minors with the Padres up until 2005 before signing with the Philadelphia Phillies. For the Phillies, Scales was part of the minor leagues with the Scranton/Wilkes–Barre Red Barons. By the end of the year, he signed with the Boston Red Sox for their 2007 Spring Training but wasn't picked for the MLB roster. In 2008, Scales joined the Chicago Cubs for the minors and after becoming a free agent at the end of the season, was re-signed by the Cubs for another year at the minors.
During the offseason, Scales is a substitute teacher at the Milton High School.
