Jacob Quirin Fox, also known as "Jake" Fox, is a professional baseball player from the United States of America and plays as a catcher. Fox attended the Cathedral High School and subsequently went to the University of Michigan and went on to be named to the First Team All-Big 10 conference.

In 2003, Fox was picked up by the Chicago Cubs in the 3rd round of the MLB Draft. For the next three years, Fox stayed in the A-League, splitting his time between playing for the Lansing Lugnuts and the Daytona Cubs. In 2007, while playing for AA-Tennessee, Fox got a call to replace Cesar Izturis who was traded out to the Pittsburg Pirates. Fox was brought in with the intention that he would fit into the role of an outfielder, a first baseman or a third catcher. He eventually made his debut in 2007 against the San Francisco Giants where he came into the game in a pinch hitter's role.
