Alexander Galban

Venezuelan by birth, Alexander Rafael Romero Galban is a professional baseball player who currently plays Major League Baseball in the United States of America. He came to the USA after being signed by the Minnesota Twins in 2002, albeit as a free agent. He spent 5 years with the Twins, working his way up the chain, before being picked up by the Arizona Diamondbacks who claimed him off waivers.

Galban made his debut for the Diamondbacks in 2008 and has mainly been used as a pinch-hitter.

During the winter off-season, Romero goes back to Venezuela to play for the Aragua Tigers. He is considered to be the best player of the team, with MVP awards during the regular season as well as in the playoffs.
