Carlos Gutierrez
Juan Carlos Gutierrez is a Venezuelan baseball player, currently a part of the Arizona Diamondbacks in the Major League. An undrafted free agent, Gutierrez was pulled on-board by the Houston Astros in 2000. He played in the Astros Venezuelan League for the next two seasons before joining the Rookie League teams for the next two seasons.
A regular starter in the Major Leagues, Gutierrez was recalled to the Major League lineup of the Astros in 2007 after Stephen Randolph picked up an injury. He made his debut against the Washington Nationals in place of injured pitcher Roy Oswalt. Two days later, he was back in the minors after Troy Patton came on board. Finally, in the December of 2007, Gutierrez ended his association with Astros when he was traded out to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
