Billy Buckner
William Jennings "Billy" Buckner is a professional baseball player who plays in the National League setup of American Major League Baseball. In 2003, Buckner was picked by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in round 9, as the 248th overall pick. In 2004, he was part of the MLB Draft again and this time, the Kansas City Royals picked him at 54th overall, in the second round.
He stayed with the club for three seasons, training and building up his skills and finally, in 2007, he got the all-important call up to the team. However, later that year, he was traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for Alberto Callaspo.
