Early Life and Education

Laird attended La Quinta High School, where he began to develop his skills in baseball. He continued his journey at Cypress Junior College, honing his craft and showcasing his talent before entering the professional ranks.

Minor League Journey

In 1998, Laird was selected in the second round of the MLB Draft by the Oakland Athletics.
