Adil Rami is a France international football player who currently features for the Spanish giants Valencia. He plays as a central defender and is rated as one of the best players in his position in the world.
Rami commenced his professional club football career at Frejus in 2003 and played for them for three years, before being snapped up by Lille. He established himself as one of the most promising young players for the Ligue 1 club, featuring in 111 league matches and scoring seven goals.
Rami won Ligue 1 with Lille in 2011 and also the Coupe de France, earning praise throughout Europe for his performances in central defence. In January 2011 Valencia signed him from Lille for a reported €6–10 million but he continued to play for the French club for the remainder of the 2010-11 season on loan.
Rami joined Valencia in the summer of 2011 and has since been a consistent performer for Los Che. He has earned the reputation of being one of the best centre-backs in the modern game.
Rami made his international debut for France on August 11, 2010 in a friendly international against Norway. He played regularly in his country’s Euro 2012 qualifying campaign and played in the finals as well.
