Jordi Alba is a Spain international football player who currently features for the Spanish and European giants Barcelona. He plays as a left-back and is rated as one of the best players in the world in his position.
Alba commenced his professional club football career at Catalan club Cornella in 2007 and then moved to Valencia. After playing for the B team in the 2007-08 season, he was promoted to the first team.
Alba was on the books of Valencia until 2012, although he was farmed out at loan to Gimnastic in 2008-09. At Mestalla, he developed into one of the most complete left-backs and after scoring five goals in 73 La Liga appearances, joined Barca in the summer of 2012 for €14 million, signing a five-year contract. He proved to be a valuable asset for the Spanish giants as they regained the La Liga title from Real Madrid in 2012-13.

Alba made his international debut for Spain on October 11, 2011 against Scotland in a 3-1 victory in Alicante. He was part of La Furia Roja squad that won Euro 2012.
