Justin Gaethje is a professional mixed martial artist born on November 14, 1988 in Safford, Arizona. He is currently signed under the World Series of Fighting and competes in the lightweight division. The talented fighter is the current champion in his division and boasts of a 16-fight winning streak. Majority of these wins are by way of knockout.

At an early age of four, Gaethje began wrestling. His mother was a postmaster while his father was a copper miner. During his high school years at Safford High School, he became a part of the wrestling team until his time at the University of Northern Colorado. He became a Division I All-American wrestler during his college years and a two-time state champion during his high school years.

He was still in college when he made his amateur debut in mixed martial arts. He holds an impressive 7-0 record before making his professional debut in the middle of 2011. He won his first fight as a professional via knockout.

In addition to his lightweight championship title, Gaethje also had earned several accomplishments in his mixed martial arts career. These include Most Wins in Title Bouts, Most Consecutive Title Defenses and Longest Winning Streak in WSOF Lightweight History. He also earned a 2015 March Fight of the Month and 2015 September Fight of the Month by MMA Junkie.com as well as the 2015 Best Fight of the Half-Year by Yahoo! Sports.
