Marlon Moraes is a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist. He is currently fighting in the Ultimate Fighting Championship in their bantamweight division. In March 2022, he is the No.14 bantamweight fighter in the UFC.

Marlon Luiz Moraes was born on April 26, 1988 in Nova Friburgo, Brazil. He started training in Muay Thai when he was just 7 years old. As a teen, he trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Before he fully switched to MMA, he had won several Muay Thai championships.He stands 168 cm with a reach of 170 cm. His weight was last listed at 61 kg. Moraes used to fight in the Featherweight division. In 2012, he moved up to play in the Bantamweight division. He has a black belt in both Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He currently fights out of Palm Beach Gardens, U.S.
Career
One of his first professional fights was against Bruno Santana. They faced off in April 2017 and it was a win for Moraes via submission. Some of his other wins include those against Carson Beebe and Josh Hill.He did not join the UFC until 2017 when he fought and lost against Raphael Assuncao in June. A few months later in November 2017, he went up against John Dodson, winning in a split decision.
After three more wins, he suffered his first loss in the UFC in 2019. This was against Henry Cejudo. His next fight, against Jose Aldo, was a win. This was followed by a string of losses, the most recent one was against Yadong Song. The bout took place in March 2022. Song won via knockout.
