Ben Cottreau
Ben Cottreau is a Canadian ice hockey player who is best known as a player of the Hannover Scorpions. Cottreau was born on April 4, 1985 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and has been playing the sport since 2001.
Cottreau started his career when he signed with the Markham Waxers, a team where he played for three years. After his stint at Markham, Cottreau signed with Mercyhurst College when he played for four years. It was in the 2007/2008 season that Cottreau made his professional debut as a player of the AHL together with the Albany River Rats.
In 2010, Cottreau was a member of the team that won the German Champion during the said year. However, Cottreau suffered from certain injuries that in May 12, 2011, it was revealed that Cottreau is ending his career to do the risk that his recent head injuries that may leave him brain damaged.
