Baseliner

In tennis, a Baseliner is a player who plays most of their shots from near the baseline at the back of the court. They rely on powerful and consistent groundstrokes, both forehand and backhand.

Baseliners aim to win points by hitting strong, accurate shots from the baseline and wearing down their opponent. They usually only come to the net to finish off easy balls.

Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic are two of the greatest baseline players in tennis history.

Nadal's heavy topspin forehand and Djokovic's precise two-handed backhand are major weapons from the baseline.
