Jan Hájek is a Czech retired professional tennis player, best known for reaching the third round of the French Open and achieving a career-high ATP singles ranking of World No. 71.
He was also a member of the Czech Republic's victorious Davis Cup team in 2013.

Jan Hájek was born on August 7, 1983, in Olomouc, Czechoslovakia. He stands 180 cm tall and he plays right-handed with a two-handed backhand. He began playing tennis at the age of six with his father, Svatopluk, who was a tennis coach. His mother, Eva, is a school teacher.Hájek is nicknamed "Hajecek," "Hajos," and "Gejza." He enjoys playing football and watching hockey.
Professional Career
Jan Hájek turned professional in 2000. He spent his early career competing on the Futures and Challenger circuits, where he won numerous singles titles. He achieved his career-high ATP singles ranking of world No. 71 in November 2006.His best performance at a major tournament was reaching the third round of the French Open in 2007. He also made it to the second round of the Australian Open in 2010 and the US Open in 2006. In doubles, he won one title and achieved a career-high ranking of world No. 189 in May 2006.
A significant highlight of his career was being a member of the Czech Republic's victorious Davis Cup team in 2013, which captured the title after a final victory over Serbia.
Hájek retired from professional tennis in 2015.
