Ivan Navarro was born on October 19, 1981 in Alicante, Spain. Ivan played tennis as early as four years old and has played in his hometown for most of his life. Growing up, he looked up to Ivan Lendl and Roger Federer. Now, after turning professional in 2001, Ivan Navarro is now the idol of many young tennis fans.

Ivan Navarro currently ranks number 79 in the ATP Champions Race Position. He is a right handed player who considers his serve to be his best shot and favors clay among other surfaces. He is currently ranked number 194 in the Doubles circuit. Though he has had a total of 22 career matches won, Ivan still has not won a singles title and a doubles title.

Ivan’s most memorable moment in his career in professional tennis was during the qualifying round for the 2007 Roland Garros. It was there that he won one round and was able to break into the Top 100 rankings. He has a career singles record of 22-31. The highest ranking he has achieved for the singles ranking was number 69. In the Doubles circuit, Ivan has a record of 12-16 and his highest ranking was at number 147.

He is an active player in the ATP Pro Tour and has also joined Grand Slam events through the years. In 2004 he joined the Wimbledon and was able to reach the first round. In 2007, Ivan joined the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open. In 2008, Ivan has joined the US Open so far.

Ivan has earned $634,587 as career prize money. He is coached by Israel Sevilla, his coach since he turned professional in 2001.
