Bethanie Mattek-Sands is an American professional tennis player who specializes in doubles. She is a seven-time major doubles champion, a Davis Cup winner, and a former doubles World No. 1.

Bethanie Mattek-Sands was born on March 23, 1985, in Rochester, Minnesota, United States.She grew up in Minnesota and Wisconsin. On November 29, 2008, she married insurance executive Justin Sands and has since used her professional name, Mattek-Sands. She stands 1.68 m (5 ft 6 in) tall and plays right-handed with a two-handed backhand. She currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona.
Professional Career
Mattek-Sands turned professional in 1999. She has won seven major doubles championships: five in mixed doubles and two in men's doubles.Her women's doubles titles came at the Australian Open in 2015 and 2017 and the French Open in 2015 and 2017.
In mixed doubles, she won the Australian Open in 2012, the French Open in 2015, and the US Open in 2018 and 2019. She reached a career-high doubles ranking of World No. 1 in January 2017.
Mattek-Sands was also part of the U.S. team that won the Fed Cup in 2017 and a gold medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics in mixed doubles with partner Jack Sock.
