Four-times Wimbledon champion Serena Williams will meet Polish third seed Agnieszka Radwańska in the final after both won their semis on Thursday.
Sixth seed Williams knocked off Belarussian second seed Victoria Azarenka 6-3, 7-6 (8-6), while Radwanska progressed with 6-3, 6-4 victory over Germany’s Angelique Kerber.
Williams, who nailed a record 24 aces, said: “The older I get, the better I serve and the more — not that I rely on it — the more I like to hit aces.
“I don’t know how it got better. I really don’t know. It’s not like I go home and I work on baskets and baskets of serves. Maybe it’s a natural shot for me.”
Meanwhile, Radwanska told reporters: “I played Serena a couple of times, but it was long time ago. She’s a very tough opponent and hitting the ball very well.
“Of course she’s playing great tennis on the grass. I don’t really have anything to lose.”
