Andre Agassi Gets Nominated to Hall of Fame

Heading the list of the 2011 nominees for the International Tennis Hall of Fame is Andre Agassi.

Heading the list of the 2011 nominees for the International Tennis Hall of Fame is Andre Agassi. Agassi has a record of having a Grand Slam as well as eight-time major champion. He is the only player who is nominated for the Recent Player Category. It has been four years since Agassi retired from playing the game.andre agassi

Others that were included in the ballot for the Hall of Fame are Christine Truman Janes and Thelma Coyne Long, both for the Master Player category. Fern Lee “Peachy” Kellmeyer and Mike Davies both came up for the Contributor Category.

Those who will be inducted will be announced by next year.

So far, Long has a record of 19 Grand Slam titles from 1935 to 1958, while Janes won the French Championships in 1959 for singles.
