Another Belgian superstar is going to come back into the court come January 2010 in Brisbane, Australia.
Justine Henin hopes to make her re-debut right at Australian Open in 2010. This was according to Carlos Rodriguez, her coach. He and Henin were in talks with the coordinators of the tennis tournaments to be held in Auckland and Brisbane, Australia. Henin wanted to make it to the tune-up events, a series of games held as preludes to the Australian Open, which will be held on January 18.
However, for Henin to be able to play, she had to have a wild card. Needless to say, with the clamour for tennis aficionados to see both Kim Clijsters and Henin on the same tournament would be enough to let the organizers pull all the necessary strings.
It can be recalled that Cljisters just made her huge comeback after having been not around for more than a year. She capped the U.S. Open women’s singles division just last September. This also made her the first mother to win a Grand Slam tournament.
Henin, on the other hand, wants to get the Wimbledon title, the only major tennis title she hasn’t added yet to her resume.
