Unión de Santa Fe

Club Atletico Union, founded in 1907, are based out of Sante Fe. The club is relatively smaller than their city rivals Colon de Santa Fe. Mostly plying their trade in the lower divisions, the team movde up the chain to the Primera A division for the first time ever in 1965. Since then, they have been regular members at the top and have, on many occasions, gone down to the Primera B Division as well.

The team even reached the finals of the National Championship in 1979 but lost over the two leagues, on aggregate, to River Plate.

Besides football, the club also involves itself in other sports such as Basketball, although football remains the main source of fame for the club.
