Based out of the Mataderos barrio area in Buenos Aires, Club Atletico Nueva Chicago is a team in the Argentine Primera B Nacional division. The team has been in the First division for a very small amount of time yet, has become extremely popular in a short time. The team has a loyal set of fans who attend each game to ensure that the stadium’s packed to the brim.

In the ’80s, the team was known for rowdy supporters who were jailed for singing the Peronist anthem during a game.

Titles

The club won the 1930 amateur championships and then had to wait long and hard for another piece of silverware. In 1981, they won the Primera B division title before qualifying for the Primera Nacional division by winning the 2006 Primera B Clausura title.
