AIK Fotboll

AIK Fotboll, commonly called AIK, is a Swedish football club based in the city of Stockholm. They currently feature in the Swedish first division.

AIK Fotboll were formed in 1891 by Isidor Behrens in Stockholm and the football department came into action 1896. They won their ever Swedish championships in 1900 and won the championships again in 1901. They couldn’t start the Allsvenskan in that successful a fashion but won it in the1931-1932 season.

AIK were then relocated to Solna in 1937 and won their eight Swedish title that year. AIk would then win their next Swedish title in 1992 and six years later won the championships again in 1998. They also featured in the group stages of the 1999-2000 UEFA Champions League.

AIK Fotboll play their home matches at the Rasunda Stadium that can host a crowd of 36,608. They bear the nickanmes Gnaget.
