Zdeno Štrbaimage:Zdeno Štrba |Zdeno Štrba is a Slovak football midfielder who is presently playing for the Super League Greece team, Skoda Xanthi along with the Slovakia national football team. Born in Krásno nad Kysucou, in Czechoslovakia, this defensive midfielder started his career at a local club, Tatran nad Kysucou.
He joined Dukla Banska Bystrica moving to Matador Puchov from 1998 to 2002 making 78 appearances and 5 goals. Having played for Matador for four and a half season, he moved to MSK Zilina team in 2003 and with this team he made 191 appearances and scored 9 goals till 2009. From 2009 onwards, he joined Skoda Xanthi team and made 27 appearances and scored 4 goals at the Super League Greece in his first season. With this team, he had signed a two year contract for a fee of 150,000 Euros.
Zdeno played his first international match against Cyprus in 2003 and was also present in six of the ten tournaments at the 2010 World Cup qualification. Whilst with the Slovakia team, he made 24 appearances.

When playing for Zilina, Zdeno won six trophies and the Corgon Liga and Sloval Super Cup for three times. Consequently, he was selected to play for the Slovakia national football team.
