Luis Enrique Capurro Bautista is a retired football right-back who was born on May 1, 1962 in Esmeraldas, Ecuador. During his career, he was known as one of the top right backs in all of South America, and was able to hit the 100 mark of number of caps for the national team of Ecuador.

Capurro's career kicked off when he was signed by Patria De Esmeraldas. Then his next two clubs included Patria de Guayaquil and Milago Sporting. However, his first main participation was when he played for Club Deportivo Filanbanco from 1987 to 1991. A year later, he transferred to Emelec, where he stayed for just one year.

Throughout his career, Capurro was able to play for a number of teams, including Cerro Porteno, Racing Club, Barcelona SC, and LDU Quito. It was with LDU Quito that Capurro played his remaining professional club years from 1999 to 2003.

Capurro is known for the titles he helped acquire, such as the Ecuadorian league titles, which he won while playing for Emelec and Barcelona SC. Due to his large mustache, Capurro is easily recognizable, and is one of the most popular players in South America.

As for his international participation, Capurro was a player for the national team of Ecuador from 1985 to 2003. During that span of time, he was able to make 100 caps with 1 goal. After retiring from the sport, Capurro went to live in New York City, despite this, his talent is still recognized by his homeland.
