Yong Jo Hong>, born on 22nd May 1982 is a professional footballer who plays for North Korean National Football team. He is the captain of the North Korean national team. He plays in the forward position. He is known for his tremendous pace and powerful shots
He started his career with the team April 25. He reached a remarkable 41 goals in three seasons. In 2007, he moved to the Serbian side Bezanija club. He made 7 appearances for the club and achieved 1 goal. By 2008, he started playing for Russia’s Rostov club. So far he has made 30 appearances and 3 goals for the club.
Hong entered international football with his entry in the North Korean National football team in 2005. He has since than reached a significant mark of making 42 appearances. He has achieved a remarkable 11 goals in international football while playing for the national team.
Hong was the captain for the North Korean National football team that qualified for the 2010 FIFA World Cup held in South Africa.
