Tim Brownimage:Tim Brown|Tim Brown is a professional football player who plays for New Zealand National team. In the A-league, he plays for Wellington Phoenix. Standing 6 feet 1 inch, he played as a Central Midfielder. When the current captain Ryan Nelsen is not playing, Brown is seen leading the New Zealand side.

The other clubs he has played for include Miramar Rangers in 2000-01 season, University of Cincinnati from 2001 to 2004, Richmond Kickers from 2004 to 2006 and Newcastle Jets from 2006 to 2007. Brown is one of seven foundation players of Wellington Phoenix and the vice-captain of the club. He was signed by Coach Ricki Herbert who happened to be the coach of the national team as well.

Tim Brown played for New Zealand at Under-20 as well as Under-23 levels. He made his debut for New Zealand on 31st May 2004 against Solomon Islands. He even captained the All Whites in FIFA Confederations Cup in 2009. Till now he has made twenty five international appearances and is yet to score his first international goal.

Recovering from a shoulder operation he had undergone in May 2010, Brown has his World Cup preparations slightly hampered.
