Gianni Mina
Gianni Mina is a French professional tennis player, who was born on February 9, 1992 in Les Abymes, Guadeloupe in France. His father's name is Jean-Denis and mother's name is Solange, he has two siblings named Brandy and Aurelie. He started playing tennis, judo, swimming at the age of five, his favorite surface is clay and often compared to Gael Monfils.
In December 2009 junior circuit, Mina reached a career-high combined ranking of number two after finishing runner-up to eventual 2009 International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Junior Champion Daniel Berta in the French Open final, winning international junior tournaments in Beaulieu-sur-Mer and Istres, and the Boys' 18s singles at the year-end Dunlop Orange Bowl in Key Biscayne. Also Mina became the second Frenchman to win the title in the event's history, after Guy Forget in the year 1982. On May 18, 2010 Mina reached his highest ATP singles ranking, number 653, and has not yet been listed in the ATP doubles rankings. He is coached by Aloïs Beust and Olivier Ramos both were former French players. Mina was given a wild card for the 2010 French Open where he lost in three consecutive sets in the first round to four-time champion Rafael Nadal.
