Henry Edson Quinteros Sanchez is a professional footballer from Peru who plays as a midfielder. Quinteros is a product of the youth academy at Alianza Lima and it was quite natural for him to get into the senior squad, at Alianza Lima, when he turned pro.

Quinteros was one of the stars at the youth academy and once in the senior team, it didn’t take him long to make a place for himself. Quinteros, almost immediately, forced his way into the starting lineup and over the next 6 seasons, played 171 league games for the club, scoring 38 goals from midfield.

He moved to Sporting Cristal in 2003, continuing his good form as he went on to score 15 goals over the next 3 seasons, playing over 105 games in the league. He moved to Lech Poznan in Poland, getting a taste of the European game, but his stay at the Polish club was marred by personal problems that never let him settle down at the club.

Quinteros moved back to Peru after just playing 41 games and scoring 10 goals for Lech Poznan. He returned and signed with his first club, Alianza Lima, where he re-entered the starting lineup again. In his 50-odd league appearances since 2008, Quinteros has scored 8 goals and continues to be an integral part of the lineup at Alianza Lima.

At the international level, Quinteros has been a part of the Peruvian national team since 2000, although his appearances have been quite limited. He has just played 22 games with one goal to his name.
