Born in Durango, Mexico, Raul Alvin Mendoza Arguello is a professional footballer who plays as a defender. A wonderful left-winger, Mendoza began playing at the youth academy at Club America and was pulled up into the first team for his debut in 2005. Mendoza made his debut against Atlante and went on to play for the senior team on a temporary basis.
Over the next four seasons, Mendoza played over 50 games for the team in the league and scored a goal while making more appearances in the continental tournaments. Mendoza would also be a part of a championship winning team at Club America although there wasn’t much contribution to the win as far as he was concerned.
In 2008, Mendoza moved to Veracruz where he struggled to get into the first team. Despite not playing for the team at all, Mendoza always demonstrated a lot of promise in reserve games as well as in all opportunities that he was presented with.
By 2010, Mendoza had moved to Queretaro FC where he is yet to make his debut with the senior team.
A promising youngster, Mendoza represented Mexico at the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championships, starting all three games for the team before their exit from the first round.
