Marco Antonio Palacios

Marco Antonio Palacios Redorta is a professional football player from Mexico who plays as a defender. As a member of the youth team at UNAM Pumas, Palacios made his professional debut for the Under-17 team at Pumas, along with his twin brother Alejandro. Marco senior team debut came in 2004 when the 21-year old when out on to the field as a substitute. However, by the following season, Palacios had built up enough steam to become a regular starter at least at the Copa Sudamericana stage.

In the league however, Palacios would not get a starting spot but was still part of the team as a substitute. Palacios spent a year away at CD Veracruz where he played just 7 games, mostly as a substitute. Disappointed, he returned to Pumas in 2008 and has played almost 50 games now, scoring 4 goals, more than his numbers in his first stint with the team between 2004 & 2007.

Along with 2 Clausura titles, in 2004 & 2009 and one Apertura title in 2004, Palacios also has a Champion of Champions trophy and a Santiago Bernabeu Cup from the 2004 season.
