Juan Pablo Santiago Santiago is a professional footballer from Mexico who plays as a defender. Santiago began his playing career at Futbol Club Atlas in 1999. In the five seasons he spent at the club, Santiago only made himself a regular in the team towards the latter part of his association with the club. Having played 24 games, most of them as a substitute, Santiago also scored a goal before being transferred to Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz.

At Veracruz, Santiago became a regular member of the starting lineup and was seen in almost 70 games during which he scored one goal. At the end of the 2005 season, Santiago moved back to Futbol Club Atlas and became a regular starter.

During his second stint at Atlas, Santiago scored 3 goals in 64 games for the team before deciding to part ways with the team in 2007. Santiago joined Santos Laguna in 2007 and has struggled to make a place for himself in the starting lineup, playing just 27 games over a span of two years.
