Marco Cassetti is a football player who currently features for the Italian giants AS Roma. Cassetti is a right sided midfielder but can also team up as a utility right-back.
Cassetti started his football career at at Montichiari, an amateur-level club in the province of Brescia where he was born, in 1996. He then moved to Lumezzane and then Hellas Verona and finally to Lecce in the summer of 2003.
Cassetti was signed by AS Roma in the summer of 2006 on a co-ownership deal for 1.5 million euros after Lecce were relegated to the Italian Serie B at the end of the 2006-2007 season. Cassetti signed a four-year contract with Roma.
Cassetti played five times for Italy between 2005 and 2008.
